Which of the (U.S.) X Factor judges has the largest PeekScore?

What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news.

In 2010, TV mega-producer and mega-personality Simon Cowell departed his highly paid spot as the most high profile judge on ratings juggernaut American Idol to focus on bringing stateside his U.K. megahit The X Factor. The U.K. version of this talent contest series, created by and featuring Cowell (who had been doing transatlantic double-duty, working on both it and Idol simultaneously), wound up becoming globally known in 2010 thanks to an unexpectedly impressive appearance by then unknown Scottish vocalist Susan Boyle going viral on the internet (Boyle is now a multi-platinum recording artist as a result).

The U.S. version of The X Factor has been running to very respectable ratings, and not without some controversy, for a while now, and will be reaching its finale at the end of this month. In honor of the mini-phenomenon and all the attention it’s receiving, we decided to take a look at the show’s four judges and see how they shake out after being put through the PeekScore wringer.

Although it’s a short list, the results surely surprised us. While Cowell is a PeekScore giant, as we’d have suspected, Nicole Scherzinger is nearly PeekScore royalty. While it’s difficult to imagine anyone being more of a press darling and general superstar than Cowell, it would seem that between her own formidable and well maintained social media presence, and her numerous mentions throughout the blogosphere and elsewhere, Nicole’s got the edge.

The Top 10 from FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World Contest 2011

While there are many men working here at PeekYou, we’re not a particularly “laddish” bunch. As we’ve detailed previously, right here in these very pages, our firm exteriors merely protect – from some of the world’s more cruel and unsavory elements – tender hearts and extremely enlightened souls. Our testosterone is a tool which better enables us to look out for those who might be targeted for oppression or exploitation, but never to ourselves be oppressors. We don’t much care for the whole red Solo cup-personified, “bro” culture of shouty arrested adolescence, simmering physical menace, and unconscionable misogyny clearly born of rampant insecurity (or uncomfortable latent tendencies). Not to make a thing of it, of course, as we’d never dare, but it does come to mind as today we’re to explore for whom the readers of a certain lad mag, the U.K. based FHM, have voted in their Sexiest Woman in the World contest.

This whole “introductory entry” dog and pony show needn’t be dragged out, as by now you know where this is heading. Even if this list were somehow objectively accurate and irrefutable, and politically right on, and Rosie Hindenberg-Whittington, or whatever the hell her name is, was actually, in fact, the sexiest woman in the world, and even if being a successful swimsuit model was actually an impressive accomplishment in and of itself, over here at PeekYou we’d fail to be impressed. You already know what we find sexy, and many of the world’s sexiest people have told us they agree.

In the interest of political correctness, and in hopes of not alienating a single reader, we will emphasize that those endowed with smaller PeekScores can be lovely in their ways as well. I mean, it’s just a preference is all, but we’ve totally gone with some folks whose PeekScores were a little on the small side. No seriously, we were even engaged to one at one point.

With that, I ask you to comment. Who, male or female, do you think is sexy? Let us know, and we can then size them up based upon their PeekScores, and see where that inevitably awkward exchange will lead us. Good fun awaits.

Rihanna At 23, she’s already one of the best selling music artists of all-time. And what have you done? I mean besides, apparently, buy loads of Rihanna records.


Olivia Wilde Throughout months (years?) of teasers and trailers for the Tron sequel we were quite insistent that we were immensely psyched for it. It came and went, and is now out on DVD, and we’ve still not seen it. We bring this up, as it’s the only thing this Olivia Wilde’s ever been in that we might have seen at some point. Still, we’re sure she’s very nice.


Nicole Scherzinger So, are these Pussycat Dolls like a band, or something? Regardless, we read that Ms. Scherzinger is to be a judge on Simon Cowell’s new U.S. version of The X Factor. So, that’s something.


Katy Perry We know she sang that I Kissed a Girl novelty song, and we know she’s married to an outrageously famous (in the U.K.) novelty act, but even with all that knowledge she eludes our day to day notice. As we say above of her PeekScore better, we’re certain she’s very nice.


Brooklyn Decker We thought we were the sorts who would be at least passingly aware of, if not particularly concerned about, a major motion picture starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, but apparently not as we’re just learning of it now. Anyway, it would seem that Brooklyn Decker was in it.


Irina Shayk From what we’re gathering, so far, she’s just a model; which is an honest living of course. But that’s all she does. Her Wikipedia entry says she does some work for charity, and that’s pretty okay. So, good for her.


Kelly Brook This Weird Science star, and former Mrs. Steven Seagal, doesn’t want you to hate her because she’s beautiful. Oh, wait… We’re totally thinking of someone else. Egg on our face. We have no idea who Kelly Brook is.


Rosie Huntington-Whitely Our admittedly cursory research suggests that at some point Rosie here married a fellow with the last name Whitely. Also, I guess she’s a model or something.


Megan Fox We were told repeatedly that she was going to be our next big movie star. Our next Angelina. We were told a lot of things.


Marisa Miller And rounding out our list is Marisa Miller. She’s blonde, apparently, and her name is alliterative. We suppose there’s more, but honestly, we’re busy people.
