What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news. For first time visitors a more in-depth explanation of what the PeekScore is, and how to increase your own, can be found by clicking through here.
In 2010, PBS aired – as part of its Masterpiece anthology series – a BBC produced, contemporary re-imagining of Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved Sherlock Holmes stories, straightforwardly entitled Sherlock. The series, which consisted of three 90 minute episodes, was a massive hit in the U.K. (where it originally aired on BBC One), and managed to find a respectable audience for itself in the U.S. as well.
British TV screens were treated to a second run of three 90 minute episodes back in January of this year, but the program finally makes its highly anticipated return to American screens on May 2.
Being the PeekScore blog, we decided to mark the occasion not with a critique, nor a bunch of hacky jokes declaring “elementary…” and babbling about deerstalker hats, but with a rundown of the show’s relatively small recurring cast, throwing the series’ co-Executive Producer – who himself is a household name in the U.K. – on the list for good measure (the program’s other Executive Producer is also in the cast, so he was on the list already). We’re comparing no aspect of their careers nor fame apart from their various impacts here in cyberspace, as quantified on our PeekScore scale (an explanation of which can be found above, or more in depth by clicking through here).
Have you seen Sherlock? What did you think? Are there any other TV shows – British, or otherwise – you’d like to see us profile on the PeekScore blog? Let us know in the comments.
