What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news. For first time visitors a more in-depth explanation of how to increase your own score can be found by clicking through here.
On Sunday, November 24, the 2013 American Music Awards will be taking place (or took place, depending on when you’re reading this).
We’re not so certain that folks are all that concerned with the actual awards themselves, or who wins them. The ceremony, however, featuring pretty much every big name in contemporary popular music as it does, is a different matter altogether. It’s days in advance as we type this, and the Internet is already buzzing in anticipation like nobody’s business.
Excluding bands and/or groups, as PeekYou doesn’t yet index collectives, below is a fairly comprehensive list of the event’s major nominees and/or scheduled performers, sorted by PeekScore; which, if you’re unfamiliar, is PeekYou’s metric for quantifying an individual’s online prominence, influence, presence, and sometimes activity. As you may notice immediately, we’ve got a twelve-way tie for first place here. That’s just how massive the celebrities involved are. There are very few who are bigger deals in cyberspace (or out of it, for that matter) than many of the names on this list.
Clicking through the items below will lead you to the many corresponding PeekYou profiles; where you’ll find links to videos, social pages, articles, photos, personal and fan websites, and much more.
Two major acts appearing at the awards show who are not covered below can be explored by clicking through to these previously posted PeekYou blog entries; teenybop superstars One Direction, and 90s R&B sensation TLC. Finally, visit our tribute to Cuban legend, the “Queen of Salsa,” Ms. Celia Cruz, who Jennifer Lopez will be honoring during the ceremony with a special performance.
