Which of Fortune’s “40 Under 40″ Has the Largest Digital Footprint?

What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news. For first time visitors a more in-depth explanation of what the PeekScore is, and how to increase your own, can be found by clicking through here.

With the end of a year and/or the onset of a new one, the internet finds itself chockablock full of “best of” lists, and the like. The one we’re taking here and giving the PeekScore treatment is a particularly fun one, Fortune‘s list of the year’s most prominent young business titans, their 40 Under 40 (click through the highlighted text here to see Fortune‘s list for yourself).

Fortune‘s list has many ties, and many entries which feature multiple names from one company, meaning it well exceeds a “40 Under 40″ and is actually a “55 Under 40.” We’ve taken the 55 folks gracing that list to see how their digital footprints – a concept you’ll find explained in brief above, or more in depth by clicking through here – measure up and compare to one another.

The Digital Footprints of the CEOs of 2011′s Most Successful Startups

What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news. For first time visitors a more in-depth explanation of what the PeekScore is, and how to increase your own, can be found by clicking through here.

The subject line may be a bit of a mouthful, but it’s pretty self-explanatory all the same. Although we’re just about nearing the end of 2012′s first quarter, it still seemed a decent time to take a look at the Internet startup companies which made the biggest splashes – both on the Web and in the business world – during the course of the still not that long ago passed previous year.

Here, employing our PeekScore scale, we’ve decided to see how the 11 entrepreneurial young men heading up each of these 10 companies compare to one another when it comes to their presences and impacts on the Web (or, if you prefer, their digital footprints; an explanation of which can be found above or more in depth by clicking through here).

Are there any startups which you expect to see really catch this fire this year? Let us know in the comments.
