The PeekScores of the Cast of Full House

What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news. For first time visitors a more in-depth explanation of what the PeekScore is, and how to increase your own, can be found by clicking through here.

Some have gone on to build mini media and fashion empires, and some have found religion. Some have gone on to have careers on the Broadway stage, and some have found sobriety. Some have, or at least one has, even been revealed (as long suspected) to have inspired the vitriol behind a massive 90s hit record. With this PeekScore list, exploring the digital footprints of the cast of 80s/90s sitcom Full House – shamelessly pandering to the nostalgia of Generation Y as it is – we are not asking “where are they now?” of a boring and/or inactive bunch.

As they are all still active and out in the world, to varying degrees and in different ways, they all maintain an active online presence; with Twitters and/or Facebooks and/or personal websites being pretty much the rule. And the celebrity news and gossip media and the blogosphere have never stopped mentioning this lot either. The Olsens rule the pack, as is reasonable to expect, but the entire cast seems to have made some impression here in the ether.

Are there any beloved (or even hated) TV shows from your youth you’d like to see us give the PeekScore treatment? Are there any cast members or recurring guest stars from Full House we neglected to include below? Let us know in the comments.

The PeekScores of the Cast of Dancing with the Stars’ 13th Season

What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news.

We were a bit shocked to learn that ABC television is to be premiering the 13th season of its quite popular Dancing with the Stars program, on September 19. Learning that they do two seasons a year was a bit of a relief, as it did seem that 13 years had flown by at an alarming pace, and we didn’t have as much to show for it all as we might have liked. With only six years to account for, we were only half as troubled.

All the same, the cast of the 13th season has been announced, and it seems to consist of the same sort of eclectic mix of pop culture notables and curiosities as usual. This season’s line-up includes people from the world of sports, an actual honest-to-goodness war hero, two different offspring of 60s pop icon couples (who, in fairness, have accomplishments beyond their famous parents to their credits), some folks whose stars have faded perhaps a tad, as well as the expected smattering of people of whom you’re not quite certain either why, or even if, they’re famous (however, they will be, oddly enough, now that they’re on Dancing with the Stars).

In truth, jokes about the “b list” nature of much of the cast aside, this is actually a fairly healthy lot from the PeekScore perspective. In addition to the reasonable amount of coverage they’ve all received in the news media (not least of which, recently, for their involvement with Dancing with the Stars), all of these folks seem pretty wired in; with personal websites, blogs, Twitters, and such, the norm.

Are you a fan of the program? Do you have any favorite stars either on this list, or from previous seasons? Let us know in the comments.

The Digital Footprints of American Nightly News’ Most Recognizable Faces

What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news.

Some are proper news anchors, and others are commentators with a decided editorial slant. Some have recently left their jobs, and others have only just begun theirs. What unifies the names on this list is that they all belong to people who would spring to most Americans’ minds immediately when talk turns to “nightly news” (well, contemporary – as of June 2011 – nightly news, in any event).

The gentleman topping our list – at 77 years of age, and comfortably outside the prime demographic for such activities – is not an avid social networker. A very recent, and very high profile departure from his longstanding anchor seat is likely what nudged him to first place. Ms. Couric, in second place, in addition to grabbing headlines lately due to her own departure from her anchor seat, is a rather net savvy sort; having in fact tweeted no more than 3 hours prior to our typing this very entry.

Is there a television news source we overlooked, or a nightly host/anchor you’d have preferred to see included? Let us know in the comments.
